Emergency on water response training held in Penza

Penza, 18 April 2013. PenzaNews. Planned special tactical training on prevention and elimination of emergency situations on the water was held on island Peski near Penza on Thursday, April 18.

According to the Head of the department of fire fighting and emergency rescue work of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Russia in the Penza region Dmitry Kozlov, during this training the specialists practiced their actions in three test-situations.
“The first introductory situation dealt with helping the fishermen who found themselves on the run-flat boat away from the shore. The second situation was uplifting a car, which fell from a bridge into the water after an accident, and rescuing the passengers of the vehicle. The third situation suggested saving people who could not leave the flooded area,” the agency interlocutor told news agency “PenzaNews.”
He noted that such training is held once a year.
When assessing the actions of the representatives of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Russia in the Penza region and other services, Dmitry Kozlov noted that the goal of the training was achieved.
“We observed the interaction between the staff of the Penza Fire and Rescue Center, the State Inspectorate for Small Vessels, police and medical service. In addition, the training site was attended by the members of the committee on Emergency Situations and Fire Safety of municipalities of the Penza region. They watched the capabilities of our units when they worked with special equipment. In case of a real emergency, we are ready to provide the necessary assistance to the people,” he representative of the Ministry of Emergency Situations stressed.
