Penza, 18 April 2013. PenzaNews. The opening ceremony of III Inter-Regional Forum “Innomed-2013” which is held under the theme “Effective models of innovation in the medical industry and health care” was held in the building of the government of the Penza region on Thursday, April 18.

The governor of the Penza region Vasily Bochkarev greeted the participants of the event, presented the program of the forum, and spoke about the formation of the medical cluster in the region.

“Penza is becoming increasingly attractive for the development of innovative technologies, including those in medicine. For 15 years, Penza company “MedInzh” has been accumulating experience in the production of high-tech medical devices. A few years ago, the company started to form an organizational structure consisting of a group of small innovative manufacturing and service companies, which became the foundation for the regional technopark,” he said.

Vasily Bochkarev added that the forum will enhance and bring the work on creation and development of the medical cluster in the Penza region to a new level, and will promote the implementation of new innovative projects.

At the end of the official part sessions and round-table discussions began, which involved over 500 representatives of major companies and research centers in the field of medical technology from 28 regions of Russia and five countries of nearby foreign land.
