Zarechny, 25 April 2013. PenzaNews. 2,5-meter-high lighthouse powered by solar batteries was installed near a pond dam in recreation area “Lesnaya” in Zarechny, the Penza region.

“The idea of creating this piece of art belongs to a member of the strategic development club Mikhail Palatkin,” the head of the department of public relations with Media of Zarechny Tatiana Saltsova told news agency “PenzaNews.”

She said that the work on manufacturing and installation of the lighthouse cost 50 thousand rubles.

“The embankment near the lighthouse is also planned to be developed for celebrations devoted to the City Day — they will install fencing and put the tiles. 300 thousand rubles have been allocated for this purpose,” the agency interlocutor added.
