Mobile blood collection point opened in front of the traffic police department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia in the Penza region.

Traffic police officers, drivers and pedestrians expressed their desire to become donors.

In addition, the action was attended by the representatives of the regional authorities, including vice-governor Vyacheslav Satin, the Minister of Agriculture of the Penza region Ivan Firyulin, and the chairman of the regional government Yuri Krivov who, however, was not allowed to donate blood.

The Minister of Health of the Penza region Vladimir Stryuchkov noted that such actions are aimed at increasing the number of donors in the region.

“Every day, news reports arrive telling us about people injured in road accidents. Quite often, they urgently need blood transfusion. Almost every person has an opportunity to become a donor and save someone’s life,” he said.
