“From the moment that Oleg Sinenkov took charge of the broadcasting company, a number of negative changes associated with poor management began to occur. First, the people who had worked in the creative team for many years began leaving the company, and then economic situation in general started to deteriorate. In other words, there was an outflow of advertisers to other broadcasting media, and in the end, “Express” began to lose money, which were supposed to support the team,” the agency interlocutor said.
He reminded that in August 2011, Oleg Sinenkov received five broadcasting media from his predecessor Sergei Vasyanin: two TV channels — “Express” and “REN Penza,” and three radio stations — “Echo of Moscow in Penza,” “Gold FM” and “Radio Express.”
“Currently the company has lost “Gold FM” radio, almost half of “REN Penza” belongs to broadcasting company “Express.” Attempts to return this decimetric channel with good news potential to the holding company, failed. Consequently, there is no profit, hence all the problems,” the interlocutor explained.
According to him, the change of the head of the broadcasting company “Express” is a natural process when “there is a necessary to make money, and not spend it, including the budget funds coming from winning tenders for information service provision.”
“In 2011, and earlier, and even this year a question of the sale of television and radio ownership was repeatedly raised, there were ideas about property sale — the money was needed to prove operational capability, and now money demand is even greater to save the remaining. This means that even then it was clear that it was impossible to apply the same methods of control for both Motorcycle Federation, where Oleg Sinenkov is still a vice president, and regional television and radio company, employing respected and creative people. But apparently, it was realized only almost two years after. The decision has already been made. On May 13, the company will have a new leader, unless something extraordinary happens,” the agency interlocutor noted.
As for Alexander Orgin who was presented to the staff as the new head of the media holding company on Tuesday, April 30, he has never worked in broadcasting media, but they say that he has experience of a manager, and this is exactly what “Express” needs right now —effective management, concluded the agency interlocutor.
