Penza, 1 May 2013. PenzaNews. About 400 people participated in a march and a rally organized by the activists of Penza regional committee of the Communist Party of Russia in honor of Labor Day celebrated on Wednesday, May 1. Russian State Duma deputy from the Penza region, a member of the Communist Party, Vladimir Simagin noted that after losing Soviet power, Russia lost the society of social justice. Soviet power was dear to everyone, but now it is dear to a group of oligarchs and time-servers. Our main task today is to go to the people, and talk about what we have now, and what we lost with Soviet power.

In turn, the first secretary of the regional committee of the Communist Party, the member of the Legislative Assembly of the Penza region Georgy Kamnev noted that the situation in the country reminds him of the period of 1905-1907.

“Today, “the lower class” does not want to live the old way, and “the upper class” can no longer rule the old way. It seems that today all the conditions are favorable for the power, however, it cannot run the country properly and give the people social justice. Our answer is to create workers' councils in each city and district. I encourage you to actively participate in the creation of councils and gain power,” Georgy Kamnev addressed to the audience.

At the end of the event, the participants adopted a resolution with a protest against the policy of the ruling regime.

Among the requirements for the administration of Penza are stopping point construction and destruction of parks and gardens, restoring order in the housing sector, repairing city roads, returning public transport to the city, as well as reducing the cost of fare for suburban routes.

The resolution also specified the requirements for the governor and the Legislative Assembly of the Penza region, among them are providing real support to young people in terms of employment and housing, the return of benefits to veterans and the disabled, as well as the adoption of the regional law “On the children of war.”

In addition, the document outlines the requirements to the federal authorities, including the increase of the basic pension to 16 thousand rubles, lowering of utility rates and fuel, as well as tax for small and medium-sized businesses.
