Penza, 9 May 2013. PenzaNews. The Ministry of Education of the Penza region purchased over 40 million textbooks worth over 16,3 million rubles.

State contract for the purchase of 14,348 textbooks worth over 3,1 million rubles was signed with LLC “Publishing house Akademkniga/Textbook.”

Another 25,878 books worth over 13,2 million rubles were ordered from LLC “Publishing house “Association XXI century.”

The funds were allocated from the budget of the Penza region.

As news agency PenzaNews reported earlier, in September 2012, delayed purchase of textbooks for schools became the reason for dismissal of the Minister of Education of the Penza region Svetlana Kopeshkina, who was then appointed once again in mid-January 2013.
