State government to spend 83,9 billion rubles for 350th anniversary of Penza

Penza, 17 May 2013. PenzaNews. According to the press service of the Ministry of Regional Development of Russia, 350th anniversary of Penza is one of fourteen celebrations, the preparation of which is planned to be sponsored from the federal budget in the amount of 83,9 billion rubles in the period from 2013 to 2024.

“The total amount of funding provided for the implementation of preparation work is 207,2 billion rubles,” the department explained to news agency “PenzaNews.”
The ministry added that 2013, along with the 350th anniversary of Penza, will be marked by the celebration of the 1150th anniversary of Smolensk.
“In 2014, the 100th anniversary of the unification of Russia and Tuva and the founding of the city of Kyzyl are on the list, and in 2015, the city of Derbent is celebrating its 2000th birthday. In 2016, the following events are on the schedule: the 100th anniversary of the founding of Murmansk, the 300th anniversary of Omsk, the 350th anniversary of Ulan-Ude, the 450th anniversary of Oryol, and the 800th anniversary of Rzhev, the Tver region,” the press service explained.
They also noted that in 2019, Cheboksary will celebrate its 550-year anniversary.
“In 2020, Russia will observe the 100th anniversary of the Chuvash Autonomous Region, and the 100th anniversary of the Republic of Mari El, in 2021 — the 650th anniversary of Kaluga, and in 2024 — the 650th anniversary of Kirov,” the Ministry of Regional Development of Russia informed.
