Penza, 21 May 2013. PenzaNews. The employees of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Russia in the Penza region planted 2,100 trees in the forests of the Penza region since the beginning of May. This was stated by the head of information and public relations division of the main department of Ministry of Emergency Situations of Russia in the region, Anna Shupilova.

“In addition, 75 seedlings of lime were also planted on the territories of fire stations and the headquarters,” the agency interlocutor added.

According to her, this way the representatives of the Penza department of emergency situations contributed to preservation of “the green lungs” of the planet.

“The action was intended to coincide with the day of the All-Russian forest planting observed on May 18. In total, it gathered around 250 people, including not only the employees of the ministry, but also the members of their families,” Anna Shupilova commented.
