Welcoming the participants, the chairman of the government of the Penza region Yuri Krivov thanked those present for the fact that they, being the citizens of other countries, use the Russian language in their work, which is the link uniting the people of the countries of the CIS.
“One would call it the mission of the Russian language,” he said.
According to Yuri Krivov, the journalists must always remember that many people see the world through their eyes, and they must percept their work respectively.
“I would like that journalism united society in solving social issues which are useful for as many people as possible,” the chairman of the government of the Penza region stressed.
As news agency PenzaNews reported earlier, a number of events aimed at preparation and implementation of joint projects will be held as a part of the forum of young Russian-speaking journalists from CIS. It is expected that representatives of youth media will discuss the creation of an information space of the CIS and identify the most topical areas for further cooperation.
