“Germany and Russia: Building Future Together” — this is the motto of the Congress. Russian Penza and German Flensburg have been sharing partner relations during the past six years. This involved cooperation between Penza State University and the University of Flensburg, between educational and medical institutions in both cities,” he said.

Alexander Gulyakov added that during the three days of the Congress participants would have a chance to hear reports in the fields of medicine, education, culture and politics, an opportunity to exchange views, and determine the most promising forms of collaboration.

“Thanks to the cross-cultural communication, we shall overcome stereotypes and prejudices which are mostly the remnants of the tragic events of the XX century having had a great impact on the interaction between Russia and Germany,” the acting rector of PSU stressed.
