Financial and economic sustainability of NGOs to be discussed in Penza

Penza, 25 June 2013. PenzaNews. The nonprofit sector of economics and the government of the Penza region will discuss the development of the financial and economic sustainability of regional NGOs in the office of the community foundation “Civil Union” on Wednesday, June 26.
“The purpose of the meeting is to discuss with as many experts and organizations as possible the pros and cons of different approaches and ways for achieving sustainability of Penza NGOs and to generate recommendations for the development of the nonprofit sector in the region,” the executive director of the community foundation “Civil Union” Oleg Sharipkov told news agency “PenzaNews.”
He added that during the discussion the participants will be able to evaluate the results of a study conducted by the Agency of Social Information in four cities — Moscow, Nizhny Novgorod, Novosibirsk, and Penza — to examine the financial and economic sustainability of Russian NGOs and identify problems that hinder their development.
