Penza, 1 July 2013. PenzaNews. Penza residents with disabilities can use the services of social taxi free of charge from Monday, July 1.

According to the press service of the City Hall, now the taxi fare will be fully compensated in equal parts from the municipal and regional budgets.

“Earlier, the budget of Penza used to offset 70% of the costs, while 30% of the trip were paid by the customer with disabilities himself,” the city administration reminded.

The press service also clarified that the right to receive transportation services for the physically challenged people of any age who have medical conditions requiring provision of technical means of rehabilitation in the form of wheelchairs, crutches, walking sticks and poles.

“Services are provided by municipal budget institution “Automobile transportation services” using three vehicles Gazelle within the city during the working days. Transportation of the citizens to social centers is carried out according to applications received by the complex center of emergency social assistance. The schedule and route is formed according to the order,” the city administration told news agency “PenzaNews.”
