Thirteen convicts from the Penza region fall under the regulations of the State Duma of the Russian Federation from 2 July 2013 “On amnesty.” This was stated by the press secretary of the Federal Service of Execution of Punishments of Russia for the Penza region Andrey Popkov on Thursday, July 4.

“Two men will be released from the prison. One of them was convicted under Art. 146 of the Criminal Code “Violation of copyright and related rights,” and the other one — under the Art. 159.1 of the Criminal Code “Fraud in loan services,” the agency interlocutor said.

He added that the punishment for 11 other people was not related to deprivation of liberty.

“Nine of them were convicted for evasion of loan payments, and two other people — for fraud in loan services and violation of copyright and related rights,” Andrey Popkov commented for news agency “PenzaNews.”
