Penza, 8 July 2013. PenzaNews. Fourteen non-government organizations (NGOs) were eliminated in the Penza region due to violations of federal law since the beginning of 2013.

According to the deputy head of the regional department of the Ministry of Justice Elena Kanashkina, most of these NGOs did not conduct any activities and existed only on paper.

“It often happens so, that the founders of the organization do not need it because of the change of social activity priorities, but they do not consider it necessary to eliminate their project. In other cases, NGOs demonstrated lack of viability. Anyway, the department continues searching for “dead” NGOs — this is a burden which prevents the actual assessment of public activity and reduces the level of orderliness,” she said.

Elena Kanashkina added that among the eliminated organizations are non-profit partnership “Inter-regional organization “Energoeffekt,” NGO “Penza Union of Milk Producers,” and Vadinsky area council of veterans.
