Penza, 11 July 2013. PenzaNews. Police Major General Alexander Kasimkin is leaving the position of the Head of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia in the Penza region. This was reported on condition of anonymity by a source from the regional government on Thursday, July 11.

“Alexander Kasimkin has already filed a report on his resignation. It is still not clear who will be appointed to his position,” the source commented.

However, the press service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia in the Penza region informed that the Head of the agency is currently on sick leave.

“There has been no order to release him from his powers,” the press service said.

Answering the question of news agency PenzaNews about the current Acting Head of the office, the representative said that now they are “waiting for the decision of the Ministry of Internal Affairs as to who will take over the office.”

“The decision may be made by the end of this week,” the press service noted.
