“The uniqueness of the shopping center Collage is its large area — 58 thousand square meters. The objective of the exercises was to work through the rescue actions and evacuation in such facilities, as well as to demonstrate the fire department team how to work in this kind of environment,” the deputy head of the Russian Ministry of Emergency Situations in the Penza region Dmitry Kozlov said.

The top manager of the shopping center Collage Igor Alekseev added that the center has a fire safety system, two fire safety engineers, fire-fighting trainings of the personnel are held regularly, which is why the participants of the exercises demonstrated well-organized actions.

“Shopping center is equipped with the latest technology: there is smoke exhaust system, alarm systems, and automatic disconnection of electricity in case of fire,” Igor Alekseev pointed out.
