Penza, 7 August 2013. PenzaNews. According to preliminary data, two passers-by and builders, who carried out the work on the reconstruction of Moskovskaya Street, were the parties to the conflict that took place in the center of Penza on Tuesday afternoon, August 6, and was broken up by the mayor Roman Chernov. This was stated by the press service of the Interior Ministry of Russia in the Penza region.

“The call of the incident came to the police department No. 1 from the city administration where the participants of the conflict were brought to after the fight. A protocol on administrative offence for appearing in a public place while intoxicated was filed against one of them, the other man was provided medical assistance,” the press service told news agency “PenzaNews.”

The department added that it does not have information about the number of people involved in the fight and who else except the mayor of Penza Roman Chernov decided to intervene in the conflict.

The police stressed that the head of the city administration proved to be a non-indifferent person who was not afraid and took part in the arrest of hooligans.
