Penza, 7 August 2013. PenzaNews. Graduate of Penza School No. 11 Mikhail Volkov took third place at the International Geography Olympiad, which was held in the Japanese city of Kyoto.

“He successfully coped with the tasks at each of the three stages: theoretical, field and multimedia test,” the press service of Penza administration told news agency “PenzaNews.”

The City Hall reminded that Penza graduate became part of the national team after he became a winner of the All-Russian Geography Olympiad in 2013, and a runner-up of All-Russian Chemistry Olympiad.

“32 teams from around the world took part in the intellectual contest in Japan. The Olympiad was held in English,” said the press service.
