Penza, 8 August 2013. PenzaNews. Mufti of Religious Board of Muslims of the Penza region, chairman of the regional public organization “Prosveshchenye” (Enlightenment) Abdurrauf Zabirov sent his greetings to believers on Eid al-Fitr holiday that starts on Thursday, August 8.

“Eid al-Fitr is a big religious and family holiday for every Muslim. In these days Muslims pay visits to their relatives, friends, acquaintances, spend time together, set the banquet tables and have meal together, during this time it is usual to show generosity, give gifts, visit the sick, congratulate each other, be attentive to parents and children, orphans and disabled. During the festival Muslims should be particularly attentive to others,” he said.

According to Abdurrauf Zabirov, prayer on this day symbolizes the unity of the Muslims, calls the believers to be merciful and spiritually clean.

“Dear brothers and sisters, I sincerely congratulate you and your family on the end of fasting in the month of Ramadan.
