Penza, 8 August 2013. PenzaNews. Zebra, presented to Penza Zoo for the 350th anniversary of the city, will be forced to live in the stable. The zoo director Elena Hassan said this to Penza City Duma deputies who visited the facility as part of the visiting meeting of City Duma on Thursday, August 8.

According to her, it was planned that the animal would be located in the “Africa” zone, which was supposed to be created after the reconstruction, but because of the unscrupulous contractor these plans could not be implemented.
“Now we insulate the stables ourselves, create the aviary for zebra,” Elena Hassan said and added that she was sincerely sorry for the animal, which would be taken to such conditions.
According to her, zebra will join the Zoo in mid-September.
