Penza, 14 August 2013. PenzaNews. Residents of Penza will paint three 7-meter canvases, symbolizing Russian tricolor, on the Day of Russian State Flag that will be celebrated on Thursday, August 22.

As the press service of the regional branch of the United Russia party told news agency “PenzaNews,” the action will take place on Fountain Square.

“Everyone will be able to write greetings and wishes to their family and friends on these canvases. It is assumed that on September 8, the tricolor made of these paintings will be placed in the center of the city, and transferred to the museum after the celebration of the 350th anniversary of the city,” the press service explained.

The press service added that on the Day of Russian State Flag, professional artist would work in the city center making creative make-up for adults and children on the theme of Russian symbolism.

“In addition, the activists will hand out tricolor ribbons to citizens,” the regional branch of the party said.
