Penza, 19 August 2013. PenzaNews. The Institute of Regional Development was established in the Penza region.

In accordance with the decree of the government of the region signed by governor Vasily Bochkarev, the new institution has the status of an autonomous state educational institution of additional professional education.

According to the document, the institution was established through reorganization of Penza Institute for Education Development (PIED) by merging with the regional training center of utility services and regional resource center of the presidential program of management training.

As news agency PenzaNews reported earlier, in the beginning of August 2013 Olga Fedoseyeva was appointed the rector of PIED.
