Penza, 20 August 2013. PenzaNews. The opening of the August Pedagogical Meeting of Educators was held in Penza regional library named after M. Lermontov on Tuesday, August 20. The welcoming words were said by the Minister of Education of the region Svetlana Kopeshkina, who explained that the main topic of the event is to discuss the new law “On education” to enter into force on September 1, 2013.

“This is a necessary law which requires immediate attention. It will guide us in the process of building our educational space,” she said.

The minister explained that the first day of the meeting is entirely devoted to the discussion of the law, particularly its interpretation and application.

“The second day will be held under the motto “Education for Life.” There will be a variety of interactive group discussions, followed by a compilation of teaching experience,” Svetlana Kopeshkina added.

According to her, the August Pedagogical Meeting of Educators is an important step in the work carried out by the teachers throughout the Penza region.

As news agency PenzaNews reported earlier, the whole event will finish on Wednesday, August 21, when the project of the final resolution of the meeting will be announced.
