Penza, 20 August 2013. PenzaNews. Penza veterans Vladimir Kerkhanadzhev and Boris Agafonov will take part in celebrations in honor of the 70th anniversary of the victory in the Battle of Kursk, which will be held on August 22-23.

The retired colonels are invited to the solemn assembly to be held in the Drama Theater, as well as the reception of the governor of the Kursk region Alexander Mikhailov.

In addition, Boris Agafonov and Vladimir Kerkhanadzhev will participate in a wreath laying ceremony at the memorial “Kursk,” the press service of the government of the Penza region reported.

Vladimir Kerkhanadzhev is a retired colonel, the participant of the battles of Stalingrad and Kursk, Penza chairman of the city council of veterans.

Boris Agafonov is a retired colonel, a veteran of World War II, a member of the Board of Veterans of Penza Artillery Engineering Institute.
