Penza, 28 August 2013. PenzaNews. Reconstruction of Moskovskaya Streets in Penza is being done according with the work plan. This was announced by the deputy director of the city department of capital construction Alexander Ivanov during the inspection of pedestrian street and the nearby parks renovated for the 350th anniversary of Penza.

According to him, currently, the work is being done on the area between Pushkin Square and Penza Drama Theatre named after A. Lunacharsky — the sidewalks are renovated, storm sewer is being replaced, manholes’ covers are installed, tiles and curbs are laid.

Alexander Ivanov also said that in the squares named after V. Belinsky, M. Gorky, and D. Davydov the old pavement was dismantled and the work on laying new stone tiles and installation of curbs is almost finished.

In turn, the head of administration of Penza Roman Chernov, who also took part in this inspection and personally assess the progress, spoke about the necessity to clean the territory and have some gardening work done in the squares.

“All the areas adjacent to the shops, shopping centers, restaurants and cafes, should be improved. Moskovskaya Street is the hallmark of Penza, so we must do everything to make it serve the people of the city for many years,” the press service quoted the mayor.
