Penza authorities to encourage journalists reporting on anti-corruption

Penza, 4 September 2013. PenzaNews. The contest among journalists for the best coverage of anti-corruption cases will be held in the Penza region from September to November 2013.

It is organized by the Ministry of Public Relations and Mass Communications of the region.

According to the regulations of the contest, its objective is to promote a joint effort of executive and legislative authorities, public organizations, representatives of business and cultural elite in building public anti-corruption awareness in the Penza region in terms of rejection of bribery and informing on such cases.

Journalists of the regional printed media, as well as radio and television are welcome to participate. The contest materials must be submitted individually rather than by creative teams.

Applications are accepted until October 15, and reviewed until October 31. The results will be announced on November 1.

All works will be judged on the following criteria: the correspondence of the content to the main objectives and conditions of the contest, creativity, depth of topic coverage, audience coverage and simplicity.

The contest winner will receive 50 thousand rubles. The journalists taking the second and third places will be rewarded with 30 thousand and 20 thousand rubles respectively. The funds will be allocated from the budget of the Penza region.
