Financial Literacy Day held in Penza region

Penza, 6 September 2013. PenzaNews. Penza educational institutions held activities as a part of a nationwide Financial Literacy Day on Friday, September 6. Institute for Regional Development of the Penza region hosted a seminar for high school students of the boarding school for gifted children, the main topic of which was the development of a personal financial plan.

Students from over 20 districts of the Penza region had an opportunity to learn useful information thanks to videoconference which was set up at the seminar.
According to Doctor of Economics, the head of the center for business competence of Penza versatile college Natalia Yudaeva, the theoretical part of the training was to introduce the students to the basics of planning, including formulation of the problems and finding solutions.
“In addition, the students were offered a game in which they tried to point out the main advantages and disadvantages of cash and cybercash,” Natalia Yudaeva told news agency “PenzaNews.”
According to her, the Financial Literacy Day can help the young people of the region organize existing knowledge and experience in order to manage their own funds more effectively.
