Penza athlete won world championship in aquatlon in London

Penza, 12 September 2013. PenzaNews. Penza athlete Anastasia Gorbunova won a gold medal at the world championship in aquatlon held in London as a part of the grand finals of the world championship in triathlon.

The girl performed in the junior age-group and covered the distance — 1 km swimming and 5 km racing — within 32 minutes 43 seconds.

The silver medal in this group went to Elise Salt from New Zealand, the third place was taken by Ffion-Haf Harrett from the UK.

Other Penza athletes participating in the championship in London are Ilya Prasolov, Elena Danilova and Arina Shulgina, the Internet service “Penza-Sport” reported.
