Penza, 18 September 2013. PenzaNews. Traffic pattern in the area around the new bridge over the river Sura and the railway, which opened for vehicles on Wednesday, September 18, was partly changed. According to the director of the state institution “Center of traffic of Penza” Oleg Volodin, the road passing through Transportnaya St. and Avtonomnaya St. moving into Izmaylova St., which has been the only one in this direction so far, acquired the status of a secondary.

According to Oleg Volodin, the changes will affect the intersection of Izmaylova St. and Strelbishchenskaya St. Now there are five lanes instead of two. Therefore traffic lights have been installed. However, it will start operating later because it is financed from a different target program “Road Safety in Penza,” the agency interlocutor said.

He also noted that the vehicles going along Kirova St. from the central market are to pass only straight or to the right — there is no left turning to the overpass.

As the press service of Penza administration commented, the traffic pattern in the area around the overpass will be finalized after the commissioning of in and out roads in Zlobina St., Serdobskaya St., and Uritskogo St.
