Among the speakers there presented senior officials of the government of Russia, the State Duma of the Russian Federation, as well as various departments — the Ministry of Industry and Trade, the Ministry of Economic Development, the Ministry of Finance, the Ministry of Defense and the Ministry of Education.
In addition, the representatives of the Federal Space Agency of Russia, the Russian Academy of Sciences and the State Corporation “Rosatom” arrived to Penza.
The conference was opened by the Director of the Department of Radioelectronic Industry of Russia Alexander Yakunin.
“The state and prospects of development of the industry are largely determined by the level of technical equipment of most important areas of economy of our country and, consequently, its security and defense potential,” he said.
According to Alexander Yakunin, the development of the sector is constrained by insufficient levels of its research and production capacity and as a result, limited participation in the development of priority fields of science and technology and failure to meet the needs of industry and the public.
“The program of the conference is extremely rich and, in my opinion, covers all the key aspects of the development and positioning of the radioelectronic industry in the domestic and foreign markets. During the two days of the conference, we are to listen to about 20 reports, there will also be an exposition presenting radioelectronic products demonstrating a variety of different technological solutions of the industry,” the chairman of the Ministry of Industry and Trade of Russia commented.
The participants of the conference were also welcomed by the governor of the Penza region Vasily Bochkarev, who noted that the majority of businesses related to the radioelectronic industry in the region are modern.
However, the governor pointed out the need to maintain a consistently high level of salaries to retain talented specialists.
