Vladimir Potanin contributes 1 million rubles to specific capital created by “Civil Union”

Penza, 27 September 2013. PenzaNews. Famous Russian entrepreneur and public character Vladimir Potanin contributed 1 million rubles to specific capital of the local community, which is being organized in the Penza region by the fund “Civic Union”.

As the executive director of Vladimir Potanin’s fund Oksana Oracheva said, five participants of the program “Specific capital: growth strategy” having completed half of the training course, showed high performance and would be rewarded.
“The executive director of the “Civic Union” fund Oleg Sharipkov is among the program participants. He managed on the one hand to gather part of the specific capital and on the other hand to involve a huge number of people in the process,” Oksana Oracheva said during the press-conference in Penza on Friday, September, 27.
The executive secretary of the nonprofit partnership of grant-giving organizations “Donors’ Forum” Natalia Kaminarskaya in her turn explained that the specific capital is a part of non-bank credit organization property, which is gathered by donations only.
“It is not spent on different programs, it is invested. The gained money is channeled to the purposes and tasks, the specific capital is gathered for.
Natalia Kaminarskaya noted that the most famous example of the specific capital work is The Nobel Prize.
According to Oleg Sharipkov, the specific capital will actually start working in Penza in 2015.
“The projects the capital will be channeled to are not defined yet, but these are spheres like social support, culture, sport and others,” he noticed.
