Penza, 27 September 2013. PenzaNews. Penza community foundation “Civic Union” will hold Open Day on Tuesday, September 1.

The executive director of the non-profit organization told news agency PenzaNews that the event is dedicated to the European Funds Day.

“All the residents of Penza region can come to the fund office. They will be offered to get to know the work specificity of the charitable non-profit organization founded in 2002, talk with its staff members, get hand-outs and share the ideas,” the agency interlocutor said.

He also noted that the European Funds Day was established in 2013 at the initiative of DAFNE – the network of 24 charity funds national associations.

“The purpose of the event is to draw attention to the fact that charity organizations of the kind do exist as funds and that their work is very important for various spheres of life. On that day a lot of festivals, dedicated to philanthropy, will be held in different cities in Europe and more than 200 funds will organize various events, seminars, discussions, meetings and exhibitions,” Oleg Sharipkov added.
