Penza, 2 October 2013. PenzaNews. Penza residents show interests to the projects realized by the local community fund “Civil Union” while visiting the non-commercial organization office on Open Day on Tuesday, October 1.

Executive director of the NGO Oleg Sharipkov told news agency PenzaNews that during the event dedicated to European Funds Day many citizens asked for help in solving different problems.

“In particular, parents of pupils in special (remedial) classes of school No. 30 asked to help set vinyl windows, since children study in cold classrooms,” said the interviewee.

He added that children registered in medical establishments, including the disabled, are educated in special classes, and their parents are often not able to pay for vinyl windows setting.

“On Open Day people did not just ask for help, they offered it too. One of the women decided to donate a new TV her son had won in the dance competition. Another woman asked where they (the company staff) should come and help paint a fence or arrange a party for kids. One more visitor – an honored worker of motor transport Anatoly Ivashkov – spoke about his active participation in social work and expressed his intention to cooperate with the fund,” Oleg Sharipkov noticed.

He also remarked, that on Open Day all the organization employees worked in the usual course – there were many calls and people.

“There was volunteers meeting conducted within the project “Meeting place – dialogue” intended to help the elderly who survived fascism terror, and then a meeting of “Civil control” organization members,” the fund executive director said.
