Penza, 9 October 2013. PenzaNews. 1.7 thousand Penza residents are to be called for military service in October–December 2013. The military commissar of the Penza region Anatoly Sinelnikov reported on it during his meeting with journalists on Wednesday, October 9.

“According to the Presidential Decree of 26 September 2013, 150 thousand people are planned to be called for military service across the country,” he said.

Anatoly Sinelnikov noticed that Penza conscripts will serve in different regions of Russia in all branches of the armed forces.

“Fifteen people from the autumn call-up will serve in the Kremlin regiment,” he added.

According to the military commissar of the region, the conscription is being conducted as planned.

He also reminded that during the spring call-up 1,662 thousand people were called for the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation.

“About 23% of conscripts are young men with higher education, in the Volga Federal District this index is 21%, the average index across Russia is 20–21%,” the regional government press service quoted Anatoly Sinelnikov.
