Pensioner’s subsistence minimum raised up to 5,740 rubles in Penza region

Penza, 11 October 2013. PenzaNews. The amount of pensioner’s subsistence minimum used to establish the social pension supplement for 2014 financial year was increased in the Penza region to 5,740 rubles.

The corresponding bill was promoted by the deputies of the Legislative Assembly of the region in the course of the 12th session, which took place on Friday, October 11.
Presenting the draft document to the people’s deputies, the Minister of Labor, Social Protection and Demography Elena Stolyarova said that the pensioner’s subsistence minimum was counted upon the new consumer basket established on 2 April 2013 and Penzastat data on prices for food.
According to her, the forecast of the Ministry of economy regarding the index of consumer prices for the coming year was taken into account as well as the actual dynamics of the subsistence level in the region and in the country during the period of 2013.
According to the information posted on the website of the Ministry of Labor, Social Protection and Demography, at present the pensioner’s subsistence minimum in the Penza region is 5,067 rubles.
