“Currently 24 trolley-buses have the Internet access, they run on all the routes. To get access to Wi-Fi passengers do not require any additional settings, it is enough the refresh the list of available wireless networks on a cell-phone, smartphone or tablet computer and choose the network Megafon Free. The Internet speed in the zone can be up to 2 Mbit/s. No more than five people can access the Internet at a time in each trolley-bus,” the press service of the Penza branch of JSC Megafon told news agency “PenzaNews.”

The company has reminded that the project launched in November 2011.

“The purpose of the project is to form comfortable urban environment. Such initiatives create a new image of Penza as a city with rich history, yet modern and mobile. Trolley-buses, designed in the corporate Megafon style always draw people’s attention and make this mode of transport more popular,” the Penza department of the company said.

The press service added that the wireless Internet provokes interest among young people, who have SIM-cards of different cellular service providers.

According to Gleb Medvedev, a first-year student of the Penza Multidisciplinary College, wireless Wi-Fi allows to devote some time to entertaining things that are often difficult to find time for.

“Right in a trolley-bus I can listen to music or visit the website “Vkontakte.” I also can prepare for my lessons, since all the sites are available in my tablet,” he said.
