Penza, 15 October 2013. PenzaNews. The Penza region governor Vasily Bochkarev congratulated Muslims of the region on Kurban Bayram (Eid al-Adha) feast.

“This sacred feast is a vivid proof of high moral standards of Islam, such as mercy, compassion, justice, and agape. These are eternal values the younger generation of the region should be guided by,” Vasily Bochkarev said.

He reminded that these days Muslims finish pilgrimage in sacred places – hajj.

“Respect for centuries-old spiritual traditions brings people closer, symbolizes good intentions, loyalty to family traditions,” the governor said.

“I hope you celebrate the holiday in understanding, prosperity, harmony, love and peace,” Vasily Bochkarev added.
