Penza, 25 October 2013. PenzaNews. Reconstruction of the Penza Zoo is planned to be finished in 2014. The Deputy Head of the administration of Penza reported this information during the 55th session in the City Duma on Friday, October 25.

“Out of 150 million rubles there remain 24 million rubles to be spent, 12 million rubles of which are federal funds. It is a relatively small sum of money. This year we are to make use of all of it. The next year it is planned to set 50 million rubles, probably remaining sum from the previous year will be included. We are planning to finish reconstruction of the site in 2014 and not to get back to it,” Evgeny Ryzhov said.

He reminded the deputies that the contract concerning the Penza Zoo reconstruction was among the four contracts, which were cancelled due to unfairness of contractors.

“Such sites include kindergartens in the 3rd micro district Arbekovo and in Izmailov and Bauman Streets. All the companies were from Moscow,” the Deputy Head of the Penza administration remarked.

Evgeny Ryzhov also said that works in the Zoo will be entrusted to 11 Penza companies, which will finish building premises and set up networks.

“It is planned to hold short seven-day tenders through capital construction management and, following their results, conclude contracts,” he added.
