Penza, 29 October 2013. PenzaNews. The director of the Penza airport Yuri Oskolkov commented on cessation of collaboration with Ak Bars Aero and transition to the airline company RusLine.

“The tickets to Moscow cost less than those of Ak Bars Aero. Together with box-office takings, the cost varies from 5,225 rubles to 9,025 rubles depending on the date of purchase. Previously the ticket price could be up to 11 thousand rubles. Tickets price to St. Petersburg is stable – 3,900 rubles. The aircrafts seats are occupied for almost 100%,” Yuri Oskolkov noted.

He also explained that flights to St. Petersburg are subsidized under the corresponding program.

Yuri Oskolkov said that planes from Penza to Moscow would depart five days a week at 9.20 and 18.40, and back – at 7.00 and 21.00.

“Passengers had no objections to RusLine while it was conducting transportation service to St. Petersburg. It adhered to a schedule. Slight delays in 15–20 minutes were due to weather conditions,” the director of the Penza airport said.

He added that the Ak Bars Aero company has financial commitments to the airport.

“In the nearest future it will cease to exist, and the management of Ak Bars Aero aircraft park will be transferred to the airline company Tatarstan. They are now merging,” Yuri Oskolkov explained.
