“Each person has an opportunity to take this chair. But you should remember that it is not the places that grace the men, but men the places. It is a huge responsibility,” he said, suggesting one of the student to try and sit on the chair. The deputy chairman of the City Duma Zhigansha Tuktarov also showed his work place to the young people.
He reminded the students that the Duma consists of 35 deputies, 33 of them represent the United Russia party, and CPRF and LDPR are represented by 1 deputy each.
“The Penza City Duma is not politicized. We deal with economic problems of the city. So the political component is, fortunately, missing here,” Zhigansha Tuktarov remarked.
Addressing the guests, he presented the book “Penza City Duma. History and Modern Times” published at the initiative of the deputies; he also expressed confidence that everyone will be able to find interesting historical facts in the book starting from the 19th century and up to the present time.
At the end of the lesson, the students of PSU expressed gratitude to the City Duma representatives for the opportunity to see the work from the inside.
Many of them were particularly surprised that the atmosphere in the offices was business-friendly and there was no luxury as they had imagined.
