Penza, 6 November 2013. PenzaNews. Nineteen people entered the Public Council under the Penza department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia in the Penza region.

The press service of the department told news agency PenzaNews that among them there are representatives of non-governmental and religious organizations, health institutions, universities, media, as well as veterans of the internal affairs agencies.

“During the first meeting of the council, held on Wednesday, November 6, the director of the state-owned TV and radio company Oksana Chubar was chosen the chairman of the council. The duties of the deputy chairman will be performed by the head of the Penza regional branch of “Association of Lawyers of Russia” Gleb Sintsov and the associated professor of PenzaSTU Olga Logvina,” the department said.

The press service added that the Council formed five working committees to deal with main directions of work – road safety, prevention of juvenile delinquency, corruption countering, implementing social control over the activities of internal affairs bodies and improvement of spiritual, moral, cultural and aesthetic education of police officers.
