Penza, 8 November 2013. PenzaNews. Actions of representatives of the Penza branch of LLC “Rosgosstrakh” of imposing an RGS-Fortuna “Auto” policy when concluding a mandatory vehicle insurance contract (OSAGO) contravene the existing legislation. This conclusion was made by the representatives of regional department of the Federal Antimonopoly Service of Russia and is based on the inspection results.
“According to the norms of the current legislation, the only prerequisite for vehicle owners is OSAGO contract signing,” the press agent of the regional department of the Federal Antimonopoly Service of Russia told news agency “PenzaNews.”
She added that the department receives numerous appeals from citizens, providing evidence of refusal of LLC “Rosgosstrakh” staff to conclude OSAGO contracts in case they reject obtaining optional accident insurance policy.
“Such actions affect the interests of individuals who are force to bear extra unreasonable costs. Thus, the actions of the branch of LLC “Rosgosstrakh” violate paragraph 3, Part 1 Art. 10 of the Federal Competition law. The decision is being taken to deliver the organization a warning to stop actions which are contrary to the antimonopoly legislation,” the agency interlocutor said.
