Penza, 13 November 2013. PenzaNews. The management of the Russian regional airline company Ak Bars Aero after almost two weeks reacted to the statement of the director of the Penza airport Yuri Oskolkov, which was made on 29 October 2013 during the meeting with journalists, and rebutted the information about the takeover of the company and the costs of tickets.

“Ticket price at JSC Ak Bars Aero for Penza–Moscow flights varied from 2,925 to 11,625 rubles including all fees. The average ticket price was 5,000 rubles,” said the letter signed by Peter Turbaev, the Director General of the airline company, and received by news agency “PenzaNews.”

The letter went on to say that Yuri Oskolkov’s words about Ak Bars Aero dissolution and transfer of management of the company’s aircraft fleet to the airline company Tatarstan due to their merging are far from being true.

The contract of freight of aircrafts, according to which JSC Ak Bars Aero delegates the commercial control over BC CRJ-200 to JSC Tatarstan, does not constitute the fact of merging. The contract entered into force on 27 October 2013 and is valid until 29 March 2014, in accordance with the contract JSC Aircompany Tatarstan generates a schedule of regular flights in autumn and winter of 2013–2014 and defines conditions of transportation of passengers and luggage. The director of the state-financed entity of the Penza region “The Airport of Penza” Yuri Oskolkov was informed of it by the official letter dated 18 October 2013 and sent by JSC Ak Bars Aero,” the letter said.

It is emphasized that Ak Bars Aero remains a separate legal entity and continues performing its work in the ordinary course.
