Penza Rostelecom subscribers choose HD films more often than before

Penza, 13 November 2013. PenzaNews. Penza Rostelecom subscribers, who use the service “Interactive TV,” in October 2013 ordered through the option “Video rentals” more than 5,5 thousand feature and animated films, TV programs and series, including more than 500 films in HD and 3D.

“The most popular are “Iron Man 3,” “The Snow Queen,” “Jack the Giant Slayer,” “The Lone Ranger.” The leaders among animated films are “Masha and the Bear” and “Despicable Me.” There is also an increase in the number of those who watch favorite Soviet films which are now the classics,” the press secretary of the Penza branch of JSC Rostelecom Alexei Makarov told news agency “PenzaNews.”

He pointed out that “Video Rentals” is the most popular service of “Interactive TV” – it is three times as popular as it was in 2012.

“The video library consists of more than 1,500 feature films, documentaries, cartoons and TV series of Russian and international studios. To use “Video Rentals” the subscriber needs to select the section in the menu. The content is structured by genres and categories for convenience. Before ordering, the subscriber has an opportunity to read the summary and watch the trailer of the film. The film is available to watch an unlimited number of times within 48 hours from the moment of purchase, the price varies from 0 to 300 rubles. The participants of the program “Golden fever” can order “Video on request” in exchange for their points,” the agency interlocutor said.

“Interactive TV “is about 200 digital channels of various subjects, including 27 channels of high definition (HD). The number of subscribers to the service in the Penza region is more than 19 thousand people,” the representative of Rostelecom added.
