Digital broadcasting to cover 90% of Penza region territory by end of 2013

Penza, 14 November 2013. PenzaNews. 90% of the territory of the Penza region will be covered with digital broadcasting by the end of 2013. This was reported by the representative of the press service of the regional government to news agency PenzaNews on Thursday, November 14.
He said that by now the construction of early production facilities of the digital ground-based TV broadcasting network has been completed.
“Broadcasting started in five high-power and three low-power radio and TV stations in Penza, Kuznetsk, Serdobsk, Kamenka, Belinsky, Pachelma, Lopatino and Malaya Serdoba. It allowed covering more than two-thirds of the Penza region territory with digital broadcasting,” the agency interlocutor remarked.
According to him, this year broadcasting will also be started in nine other localities – Nikolsk, Gorodische, Spassk, Vadinsk, Issa, Shemysheyka, Tamala, Danilovka and Saltykovo,” the representative of the press service of the regional government added.
He noted that in December in Penza it is planned to start broadcasting of the second digital multiplex with the television channels Ren-TV, Spas, STS, Home Channel, NTV-plus Sport-plus, Zvezda, Mir, TNT and Muz-TV.
“It will allow citizens to watch 20 digital channels free of charge,” the agency interlocutor concluded.
