As the press service of Penza State University told news agency “PenzaNews,” the letter asking to approve the date was sent to the Ministry of Education and Science.

Acting Rector Alexander Gulyakov and the head of Nano and Microelectronics department of Natural Science, Nanotechnology and Microelectronics faculty Igor Averin are to participate in the election.

The programs of the candidates for the post of Rector are published on the official website of the University.

The main strategic goal of Alexander Gulyakov is the development of PSU as a multi-disciplinary research, education and consulting center of the innovation type, contributing to socio-economic and cultural development of the region as well as the integration of the university in the European higher education field.

Igor Averin, in his turn, formulated his main goal as meeting the needs of individuals, society and the state in qualitative and competitive education and results of education and research work; preparing human resources for enterprises and organizations of the Penza region; creating conditions for decent material support, professional and creative growth of employees and students of the university.
