More than 60 officers of the main office of Emergency Situations Ministry in the Penza region, including the head of the office Major General of Internal Service Sergei Kozlov, donated blood during the donor campaign, organized in the territory of the fire station No. 4 on Wednesday, November 20.

As the public relations manager of the regional blood transfusion station Marina Nelyudova told news agency “PenzaNews,” the first event of the kind was held in early August 2013.

“Rescuers, perhaps, understand more than others the importance of blood in emergency situations that they see every day,” the agency interlocutor remarked.

According to her, recently residents of the region have become more willing responding to requests for blood donation.

“Donor campaigns are regularly held in coordination with various services and in different organizations. At the moment there is no blood deficit in the region,” Marina Nelyudova said.
