Penza, 29 November 2013. PenzaNews. The head of the city Yuri Alpatov demanded from the mayor’s office to pay attention to the lack of sidewalks on some Penza streets.

“A number of deputies applied to me with the issue. We talk about the lack of sidewalks on Okruzhnaya, Ternovskogo streets and others. There used to be sidewalks there, but after the repair of the road pavement they were not rebuilt,” Yuri Alpatov said during the 56th session of the City Duma of Friday, November 29.

The city head asked the vice-mayor of Penza Nikolay Zavodovsky to get rebuilding of the sidewalks under control, rather than waiting for the program start in 2014.

“There are not many such objects in Penza – just 3 or 4. So we should return to each and not wait for the program to start,” Yuri Alpatov concluded.
