Penza, 29 November 2013. PenzaNews. Minister of Education of Russia Dmitry Livanov signed the order approving Alexander Gulyakov as Rector of Penza State University from 3 December 2013 to 2 December 2018. This was reported to news agency PenzaNews by the press service of the University on Friday, November 29.

Alexander Gulyakov was elected for the post of Rector of PSU during the conference of academic teaching workers as well as representatives of other categories of workers and students on Tuesday, November 26.

212 people, among 231 delegates present at the event, voted for him.

12 participants of the conference expressed preference for the second candidate – the head of Nano and Microelectronics department of Natural Science, Nanotechnology and Microelectronics faculty Igor Averin.
